There are 8 preschools in the Valbo preschool area. We are now looking for preschool assistants for two of these preschools.

Fridebo Preschool

Fridebo Preschool consists of three parallel sections where we work in mixed-age groups. The preschool has an inspiring local environment with proximity to playgrounds, sports fields, and forests, as well as good bus connections to central Gävle. Here, you will meet a well-organized operation and a dedicated staff group that is open to continuous development. We offer a welcoming environment for both children and adults. We actively work with our core values and systematic safety work, with the goal that everyone has the opportunity to be their best self. Safety, joy, and community are key words for the children's time with us. We are looking for two preschool assistants; the positions are permanent.

Markheden Preschool

Markheden Preschool is centrally located in Valbo. The preschool consists of five sections and has a generous outdoor environment. We strive to strengthen the children's identity, self-esteem, creative ability, health, and well-being. Safety work is central to our teaching. Markheden Preschool has a long history of environmental work, and we have been certified with the Green Flag for many years. We are looking for two preschool assistants; the positions are fixed-term contracts until 30/6/2027.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a dedicated preschool assistant who wants to contribute to a safe, playful, and educational daily life for the children. You are present, collaborate well, and are passionate about creating good relationships.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• To work together with your colleagues to be responsible for the pedagogical work with children aged 1-5 years.
• Constantly work to create a safe, secure, and educational environment that attracts and challenges children to play, activities, and learning.
• Contribute to planning, implementation, documentation, follow-up, and evaluation of the operation according to decided goals and guidelines.
• Work for a good health-promoting and accessible environment for care, play, physical activity, development, and learning.

Qualifications

You are a structured and secure preschool assistant with the child in focus.

We are looking for you who:

• Have completed upper secondary education.
• Are trained as a preschool assistant.
• Are familiar with the preschool curriculum and other regulatory documents.
• Have good linguistic and communicative skills in Swedish, both in speech and writing.

• You have the ability to see what needs to be prioritized, are efficient, and use resources to achieve the best results.
• You inspire trust and create confidence. You have the ability to spread calm and stability.
• You are curious, creative, and open to new solutions.
• You take initiative in social contexts and have the ability to create trust in your professional relationships.
• You have an unpretentious approach in your collaboration with colleagues, children, and guardians.

As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement that you present an extract from the criminal record for work in schools or preschools.

Selection and interviews take place continuously during the recruitment process.

Employment and Working Hours

Employment: Permanent (at Fridebo) or Fixed-term until 30/6/2027 (at Markheden). Working hours: Daytime.
