The Church of Sweden in Falun consists of five parishes that together form the Falun parish. We have approximately 70 employees within the parish operations and the cemetery administration. Falun is a rich cultural and historical region with a history of at least a thousand years, and through the Falu Copper Mine, it has created a World Heritage Site. Falun offers beautiful nature, a historic mine, a vibrant music and theatre scene, great opportunities for outdoor activities, rural life, and a lively city center. In central Falun, you will also find Dalarna County Hospital, which serves a catchment area of approximately 288,000 inhabitants. The hospital has 420 care beds, 3,500 employees, and is also a major educational institution for doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, and others.
Job Description
We are looking for a colleague who wants to work with:
- Spiritual care, counseling, individually and in groups for our three target groups; patients, relatives, and staff.
- Lead and participate in training and lecture contexts.
- Be responsible for worship, devotion, and meditation.
- Participate in on-call duty and acute crisis support work.
You will be part of an ecumenical work team of 5 people: 2 deacons, 2 priests, and 1 pastor.
Qualifications
For the position of hospital chaplain, you must be an ordained priest in the Church of Sweden and have several years of experience in parish work. We are looking for you with education that is adequate for the position.

You will have many contacts, both internally and externally, which places demands on both your communication and cooperation skills. Conditions

We also care about your professional development and encourage competence development. The position is a fixed-term appointment for 6 months, with a high chance of becoming a permanent position. Working hours are during the day on weekdays. The position also includes on-call duty, which means that in addition to the fixed regular working hours, you are on call at home and must have the opportunity to get to the hospital. Therefore, you need a driver's license and access to your own car.
Interviews will take place in week 26.
