About the Department

The Adult Psychiatry area (VO) in Lund is divided into four sections: inpatient care, outpatient care, the resource team, and psychosis. Within this area, we have approximately 670 employees. We provide a wide range of psychiatric services where our staff collectively possess broad and deep expertise. We are housed in bright and modern facilities in Lund.

Ward 3 is a well-functioning 24-hour unit with 16 beds, primarily treating patients with psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric diagnoses. The catchment area includes Lund and seven surrounding municipalities. The ward is an energetic and dynamic workplace with a team consisting of a team leader, nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, physiotherapists, secretaries, and unit manager. Two nurses and a team leader work during the day to provide support when the workload is highest, ensuring the quality of our joint work. This means there is always experienced staff available to turn to if questions arise during a shift.

We are now looking for a nursing colleague who wants to become part of our team and, together with us, contribute to a safe, well-functioning, and pleasant work environment where we support each other and enjoy working.

At our unit, every workday begins with a pulse meeting where we jointly plan and distribute the day's tasks. This creates structure, participation, and a good overview of patient needs.

We place great emphasis on close care work and actively work to build trusting and secure relationships with our patients. As a nurse, you work in close collaboration with nursing assistants, where you jointly are responsible for both care and administrative tasks. This gives you good opportunities to be involved in the entire care process – from planning to daily activities such as conversations and walks.

We also offer a wide range of group activities for our patients, such as creative activities, relaxation, physical activity, and recovery-oriented interventions, where you as a nurse can be an active participant.

As a new employee, you will receive an individually adapted introduction and supervision based on your experience, to ensure a secure and good start in your role.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with eligibility to work within the Swedish healthcare system. Proficiency in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. It is meritorious if you have specialist education in psychiatry as well as previous experience from the profession and/or within psychiatry.

You are empathetic, responsible, and have an easy time collaborating in a team. You have a quality-conscious approach and are attentive to both patients and colleagues. To succeed in the role, we would like you to be able to work both independently and together with others. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
