About the School

Tallbackaskolan is a school with approximately 330 students aged 6–13, located in the Mellanområde area between Malmberget and Gällivare. Our atmosphere is characterized by openness and curiosity towards new ways of working. We place great emphasis on pedagogical dialogue and collegial learning, which drives our development work. The school employs special education teachers, a counselor, and a school nurse who collaborate in a student health team to ensure the best possible support for students. As a new teacher, you will receive guidance from experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for teaching, including preparing, planning, implementing, and evaluating student progress and your own teaching in accordance with the national curriculum. You will work closely with guardians. Most of our educators also serve as responsible mentors for a class.

Qualifications

You must have a teacher's degree for grades F–3 or a preschool teacher's degree for preschool class. We are looking for someone who is responsible, clear, and driven, with the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. We value engagement, solution-oriented thinking, innovation, and collaboration. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Under the National Minority Language Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative authority for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is considered an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

A certificate of good conduct (extract from the police record) is required prior to employment.
