We are now looking for an engaged and innovative craft teacher with competence in textile crafts. You want to work with the craft subject from a holistic perspective together with a colleague who specializes in wood and metal crafts. We would like you to thrive in an integrated working method where the craft subjects collaborate, either in parallel or alternately, preferably together with your craft colleague. Our craft rooms are nice and well-equipped. We also have a new combination room where both wood and textile work can take place simultaneously, offering great opportunities for further development and subject collaboration.

The position involves teaching in grades 2–5, and we would appreciate it if you bring initiatives and ideas that develop students' practical skills and creativity. Here, you will work in an inspiring environment where we jointly develop teaching and try out new working methods!

Your responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate craft teaching with a focus on textile crafts.
  • Create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment that stimulates students' creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with the craft teacher colleague to develop and drive craft teaching.
  • Cooperate with other teachers and youth workers to strengthen students' learning.
  • Actively participate in the school's development work and contribute to the future of craft teaching.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified craft teacher with competence in the textile direction. It is meritorious if you have experience of teaching in crafts as well as working in grades 2–5.

To succeed and thrive in the role, we believe that you:

  • See opportunities in cross-curricular working methods and want to explore how our craft projects can collaborate.
  • Have a strong commitment to students' development and learning.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment where collegial development and reflection are a natural part of everyday life.
  • Are structured, flexible, and solution-oriented.
