I am a 37-year-old man living in Täby, but I plan to move to Åkersberga. I am now looking for you, who are roughly my age, to work as my personal assistant. Some of my interests include visiting various museums, going to the cinema, concerts, music, genealogy, and history.

I am also very interested in hockey, and AIK is the team closest to my heart. It would be great if you also like hockey and perhaps even AIK, but if you prefer another team, that is naturally fine.

I use a wheelchair and need help with eating, drinking, dressing and undressing, showering, and toilet assistance, which means more or less everything. I have personal assistance to help me live, and I enjoy going out and doing things, preferably outside the home. I understand everything but cannot speak verbally. When I communicate, I use body language and an alphabet board to express what I want. I am currently training to use a new eye-tracking communication device.

I have had a severe cerebral palsy (CP) injury since birth, have muscle spasms (spasticity), and have epilepsy. I may experience mild seizures occasionally that drain my energy, but they always pass on their own.

It can be frustrating not always to be understood, so it is important that you have patience for both of us. I am a man with a great sense of humor, so I appreciate it if you are positive and have a good laugh.

I appreciate it when you are good at taking initiative and suggesting fun activities for our days. You are welcome to be creative, but also to have a good understanding that my energy and willingness may vary from day to day.

Sometimes I look after a small West Highland White Terrier for my sister, so you must not be allergic to dogs. I like swimming, so it would be suitable if you also enjoy it and are not allergic to chlorine. I like playing board games because then I can roll the dice myself, which gives a nice feeling of control.

In the summer, I am sometimes at my summer house in Riala. Due to poor public transport connections there, it is beneficial if you have a driver's license and access to a car, but this is not a requirement for the application.

When is the position needed?

Work involves 24-hour shifts from 08:00 to 08:00, including on-call duties. I hope you can start your introduction shortly.

I am looking for both those who want to work a fixed part-time schedule and those who want to work weekends.

I do not require previous experience in similar work; personal suitability is valued highest. I would prefer male applicants, but women are also welcome to apply.
