Welcome as a social worker to our Rheumatology Clinic at Östersunds Rehab Center.

The Rheumatology Clinic is one of several operations within the Heart, Neurology, and Rehabilitation area. Our operations are conducted at Remonthagen, located approximately 2 km from Östersund Hospital. Östersunds Rehab Center also houses a rehabilitation department, outpatient rehabilitation, and a pain unit.

The Rheumatology Clinic is a specialist clinic for the investigation, care, and treatment of patients with confirmed or suspected rheumatic inflammatory disease. The unit consists of extensive outpatient activities and has access to inpatient care at the rehabilitation department if hospitalization is needed. Our operations consist of a multidisciplinary team including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, medical secretaries, and nursing assistants at our own laboratory. Outpatient care is provided through individual visits, day care, and some group activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Here, you will work in a multidisciplinary organization. As a social worker, you will work with psychosocial assessment and treatment; crisis and counseling support, information, and guidance in socio-legal matters. You will provide support in contacts with various authorities and other societal functions.

The work places high demands on independence and personal responsibility, alongside the ability to be flexible and collaborate well in team tasks. You will contribute actively and bring psychosocial competence both to the team and to various development projects within the operational area.

In this position, a portion of the working time may be allocated to the Pain Unit, depending on needs and opportunities. The work within this unit is the same as at the Rheumatology Clinic but covers patients with chronic pain who require specialist care.

At Remonthagen/Östersunds Rehab Center, there are several social workers in other operations who contribute to close networking and joint professional meetings. We also offer regular external supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a social worker and have at least two years of professional experience. It is meritorious if you are licensed as a healthcare social worker and preferably have further education within the professional field. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and teamwork skills.
