We are looking for an engaged and experienced tax consultant for our operations in Gothenburg. You will become part of a thriving and growing group working with some of Sweden's and the world's largest companies. The Opportunity

As a tax consultant at EY, you will join a high-performing team focused on tax advisory for private equity and multinational corporations. Your daily work will be characterized by varied and challenging tasks, and you will become part of our global network of tax consultants.

Responsibilities

As part of your role, you will assist and meet with our clients in M&A processes, international restructuring, tax structuring, as well as assist in tax processes and audits, which is why we place great value on your social skills.

Your daily work will be characterized by varied and challenging tasks. The team you will join is in a growth phase, meaning you will drive projects and coordinate our international teams. A large part of your working time will involve transaction advisory, involving interaction with our colleagues working in financial, legal, and operational advisory, as well as our clients and their other advisors.

• Handle and advise on complex tax issues related to income tax and transactions
• Drive and lead projects, including planning, execution, and follow-up of tax matters
• Contribute to the team's development and growth through knowledge sharing and collaboration

Skills and Attributes for Success

Qualifications

• Law degree with a focus on tax law
• A few years of relevant experience from an audit firm, tax firm, or law firm
• Strong understanding of income tax and transactions
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven prior experience with transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and tax-related aspects
• Knowledge of international tax regulations and experience working with cross-border tax issues, especially for clients with global operations
