Personal Assistant – Summer Temporary Position
Omtanken Assistans provides personal assistance for individuals with disabilities who have been granted assistance under LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) or SFB (Act on Financial Support for Certain Disabilities). We strive to be a workplace where everyone thrives, including customers, relatives, and staff. To achieve this, we focus on quality rather than quantity. We want everyone at Omtanken to feel a sense of community, which is why we ensure close collaboration at all levels.
Do you want to make a difference this summer?
Do meaningful work and check here! We are looking for several temporary staff members for the summer to support our customers.
The role of a personal assistant is highly varied, but regardless of the specific tasks, you will make a valuable difference to the person you work with. Your working hours vary according to the customer's needs, including day shifts, evening shifts, sleep-in nights, awake nights, and weekend work.
Please send in your CV and cover letter today. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and there may be an opportunity to start training now to begin as a temporary employee as early as this spring.
Don't forget to mention if you have a driver's license and access to a car. This can be crucial for some customers to ensure you can get to the workplace.
Background Checks
If you are hired to work with any of our customers, you will be required to present a certificate from the Swedish National Police Board (belastningsregister) as part of the employment process. There are two different legal requirements depending on whether you will be working with children or adults.
Working with Children
Work with children with disabilities is subject to background check requirements according to the Act (2010:479) on background checks of personnel performing certain services for children with disabilities. A certificate from the Swedish National Police Board must be presented as a final step in the recruitment process before an employment offer can be made.

Working with Elderly or Adults with Disabilities
Work in the home of elderly persons or adults with disabilities is subject to background check requirements according to the Act (2026:43) on background checks for work in the homes of elderly persons or adults with disabilities. The law comes into force on March 1, 2026. In support of this law, we as a company have a policy to request a certificate from the Swedish National Police Board upon new employment. The background check is carried out as a final step in the recruitment process and is part of our overall suitability assessment.
