Social Worker for Adult Services – Economic Assistance

The Adult Unit of the Care Administration is looking for a social worker for the adult group with a focus on economic assistance.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a social worker for the unit's work group that deals with economic assistance. The main tasks involve investigating, assessing, and deciding on the right to economic assistance according to the Social Services Act (SoL). This includes both receiving new cases, ongoing cases, and part of the role is focused on violence in close relationships. We have a solution-focused foundation and also work to coach clients through conversations towards employment, studies, or other activities.

We collaborate closely with other parts of the municipality that work with employment, education, and internships to offer those receiving social assistance opportunities for development, as well as linguistic and social integration.

Collaboration and cooperation with other authorities is also an important part of the job. As a social worker with us, you work with a holistic view of both people and operations. You focus on treating every individual with dignity and respect, starting from strengthening their own abilities and motivating change.

It is meritorious if you have previously worked with authority enforcement towards this target group, as receiving new cases requires competence and security in the work. It is also meritorious if you have experience working in the system "Pulsen".

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a social worker or have another equivalent higher education degree and have experience with the target group. We consider it a merit if you also have experience with authority enforcement.

We would like you to be a calm and secure person with good knowledge of current legislation and regulations. We appreciate that you are engaged, clear, and flexible, and contribute with a positive attitude. You must be able to work independently and in a team, work in a structured manner, and be an enabler. Since the work involves a lot of communication and documentation, it is a requirement that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Your computer skills are good. A B-class driver's license is a requirement.
