Description

Hällekis School is a safe and cozy school with a strong commitment to every student. The school is located in the picturesque industrial town of Hällekis, beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Vänern on the outskirts of Götene Municipality. With its central location in the community, the school is a natural meeting place for both children and adults. The large schoolyard and proximity to forests and nature offer great opportunities for play, movement, and outdoor learning.

Together with the after-school center, we are responsible for students from preschool class to grade 6. Our dedicated team of approximately 15 employees works together to ensure that every student succeeds based on their individual conditions.

At our small school, every employee's commitment is clear and meaningful – you build close relationships with the students and have the opportunity to influence and shape the teaching together with your work team. Here there are both opportunities and challenges that make the work meaningful, developmental, and full of community.

Job Description

You are a safe, clear, and present relationship builder in the classroom who creates work peace, engagement, and motivation among the students. By building trusting relationships, you see every child and meet them with patience, curiosity, and understanding.

You believe in every student's potential and work purposefully and systematically to ensure that everyone succeeds based on their conditions – supported by your competence, your commitment, and our joint effort.

You take responsibility for the teaching, the learning environment, and for creating structure and security in everyday life. At the same time, you collaborate closely with both colleagues and a supportive student health team consisting of a special education teacher, school psychologist, counselor, school nurse, and principal. There is always someone to bounce ideas off – we help each other, share experiences, and find solutions together.

For the right person, there is an opportunity for expanded responsibility, such as team leader. However, we cannot guarantee such a role upon employment, but we view interest and experience in leading colleagues in development work positively.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 1–6.

We value personal suitability, a clear and relationship-building approach in the classroom, as well as a genuine commitment to the students' learning, safety, and well-being.

Conditions

The position is permanent with a start date of 2026-08-11 or as agreed.

Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, so please submit your application today. A valid ID document (passport or international ID card) must be presented during the interview. An extract from the criminal record is required prior to any employment – we recommend that you order this now.

Welcome to Hällekis School – a small school with a big heart, where we make a difference together!

We only accept applications electronically via our website. Staffing and recruitment agencies as well as sellers of job advertisements are requested to refrain from contacting us. Götene Municipality applies smoke-free working hours. Götene Municipality strives for gender equality and diversity in our operations and therefore actively works for an even gender distribution and ethnic and cultural diversity.
