Personal Assistant Wanted for Tomas in Katrineholm

We are now looking for a secure, warm, and engaged personal assistant for Tomas, who lives centrally in Katrineholm.

Tomas is 61 years old and lives with hemiplegia and aphasia following an illness. He needs help and support with all daily tasks, both at home and during activities outside the home. The assistance is around the clock with sleeping nights, and the work also includes weekends.

Tomas enjoys music, sports, and coming up with things to do together with his family. This could involve accompanying him to activities, going on short trips, or simply making everyday life more pleasant and easier together. Therefore, we are looking for you who are social, perceptive, and enjoy being a support in someone else's daily life. Ideally, you share Tomas's interests and are willing to go to concerts (very heavy metal), hockey, football, etc., from time to time.

The work involves, among other things, support in daily routines, personal care, help with meals, and creating security and structure in the day. You will work in Tomas's home, where his wife lives and where children and grandchildren are a very important part of Tomas's life. You must have the ability to sense the situation and show consideration for the family as well.

The most important thing is that the personal chemistry feels right. You need to be able to be both a helping hand and pleasant company, almost like a friend in everyday life.

We are looking for you who:

• Are calm, considerate, and responsible
• Enjoy working closely with people
• Have patience and can create security
• Like music, sports, and social activities
• Preferably have a driver's license as Tomas has his own adapted car
• Do not smoke

There are cats in the home, so you should not be allergic.

Experience in personal assistance is meritorious, but personal suitability is most important. As we are starting up an entirely new team, there is an opportunity to influence working hours and degree of employment.
