What we offer you!

The role of a school nurse primarily involves working with preventive healthcare. Although the work largely consists of independent duties, your colleagues are just a phone call away. Your main placement will be at Bjärnum School, but work may also occur at other primary and upper secondary schools.

We are an open team where there is room for questions and discussions, and we support each other collegially. During the school term, the work can be intensive at times, so we use school holidays for further education and administrative tasks.

As a new employee, you will have a mentor for support. We also have medical meetings once a month and supervision 3–4 times per term. Otherwise, you will perform standard school nurse duties according to current laws and guidelines. You will conduct health visits, health conversations, vaccinations, be responsible for open reception, and participate in the schools' student health teams. Together with other school nurses in the municipality, you will work to develop the medical interventions of the student health services.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with additional education in healthcare for children and adolescents, open healthcare, or as a school nurse, or with similar competence or experience. Since travel by car is included in the position, we also require a driver's license for passenger vehicles.

We consider it an advantage if you have previously worked as a school nurse and are accustomed to working with children and adolescents. Furthermore, we also consider it an advantage if you have previous experience working in PMO (Parent-Teacher Organization/Student Welfare).

You have a health-promoting approach with the student in focus, and you work carefully and systematically. As a person, you are responsible, flexible, and cooperative.

Since you will be working with children and young people, we ask that you submit a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) before employment. Before employment, you need to show a passport/national ID. If you have citizenship from a country outside the EU/EEA, you also need to show your work permit. This is to ensure your identity and your right to work in Sweden.
