Residential Support Worker at Brunnsvägen Service Housing

At Brunnsvägen Service Housing, four residential support workers and one support educator work together. The facility has space for seven users with support decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL). As a Residential Support Worker within Municipal Psychiatry, you are responsible for providing daily support to individuals with mental disabilities based on established implementation plans, focusing on making daily life meaningful, understandable, and manageable for each individual.

We work from a salutogenic approach, which means that the work focuses on strengthening the users' sense of coherence and meaning. We work strategically and pedagogically to support users in developing their abilities and strengths towards as independent a life as possible.

Job Responsibilities

The work as a residential support worker is based on individual implementation plans, with the goal that the user has the opportunity for a meaningful, independent, and active life. The interventions are rehabilitation-oriented with the aim that each user can develop into as independent a life as possible.

The role includes responsibility for mapping skills and support areas to find the right adaptations based on the user's needs. You are also responsible for continuous social documentation and the creation of implementation plans with the participation of the users.

An important part of your role is collaboration with relatives, representatives, and other actors in outpatient psychiatry. There are health and medical care tasks delegated by the nurse after delegation training.

Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, and night shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are/has:

Education as a treatment pedagogue, behavioral scientist, nursing program with a focus on psychiatry, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
Professional experience in the field.
Good knowledge of people with mental disabilities and substance abuse.
Experience with methods such as MI, ESL, and VOSS.
Good computer skills.
Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
