First Teacher at Grebbestad School – Assignment focused on teaching development and systematic quality work

Grebbestad School is looking for a full-time First Teacher for one academic year. The role involves strengthening the quality of teaching, leading collegial learning, acting as a local support to the principal, and contributing to systematic quality work at the operational level.

About the assignment

As a First Teacher at Grebbestad School, you will play a central role in the school's development work. The assignment combines teaching with a clear responsibility for development and is based on close collaboration with the school leadership and colleagues.

The assignment specifically includes:

• Facilitating subject meetings/groups for the primary/lower secondary school and leading structured professional conversations focused on teaching, student learning, and scientifically grounded methods.
• Supporting the principal in local systematic quality work, for example through result analysis, follow-up of decided measures, and documentation.
• Contributing to translating analyses and development areas into concrete improvement measures in teaching.
• Serving as a pedagogical role model and contributing to a learning culture characterized by collaboration, trust, and a focus on development.
• Participating in the school's overall development work in line with the administration's goals and priorities.

The exact design of the assignment can be partially adapted based on the school's needs and your competence.

Qualifications

• Is a certified teacher for relevant grades and subjects.
• Has documented experience of successful teaching.
• Has good ability to lead collegial conversations and processes.
• Has knowledge of and interest in systematic quality work, analysis, and follow-up.
• Is structured, communicative, and has an easy time building trusting relationships.
• Thrives in working closely with school leadership and taking increased responsibility for the school's development.

Employment terms

• Fixed-term employment: From 2026-07-01 to 2027-06-30

• First Teacher supplement according to current agreement

Requirements according to ordinance

For this assignment, there is a requirement for a permanent position as a teacher in Tanum Municipality, as well as meeting the requirements according to the ordinance:

• Has certification according to Chapter 2, Section 16 of the Education Act (2010:800), according to regulations issued with support of Chapter 2, Section 16 b, first paragraph of the Education Act, or according to Chapter 27, Section 4 of the Education Act,
• Can document at least four years of well-regarded work with teaching within the framework of one or more employments within the school system,
• Has shown particularly good ability to improve students' study results and a strong interest in developing teaching, and
• Is otherwise assessed by the employer as particularly qualified for teaching and tasks related to teaching.

Duration and scope

Scope 100% fixed-term during the academic year 2026-2027.
