We are strengthening our intermediate school (grades 4-6) with three additional teachers to develop a three-teacher system!

This means that three qualified teachers share the teaching responsibility across two classes, with approximately 40-44 students per grade level.

We are therefore looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach grades 4-6. You must have at least qualifications in Mathematics and Swedish, but additional subject qualifications are advantageous. Qualifications in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) for grades 4-6 are also a plus. Equally important is that you have experience working at the intermediate school level and possess a developed approach to teamwork with colleagues to create good group dynamics, safety, and a conducive learning environment in the classroom.

Björkåsskolan is a K-6 school located in Järnbrott, Västra Frölunda, with just over 300 students. We are part of School Area Southwest 2, which includes Björkåsskolan and Flatåsskolan.

Björkåsskolan is a fine school characterized by a positive climate and good camaraderie, where we care for one another. We aim to contribute to a democratic community where all students are involved and differences are seen as an asset.

The school is organized into grade-level work teams where we focus on the student's entire day. Working together is important to us, and by combining everyone's competencies and interests, we can meet the students' needs in the best possible way.

Responsibilities

Together with your colleagues, you will create the conditions for students' knowledge development to reach the goals set in the curriculum and course plans. You will plan, implement, and evaluate the pedagogical work, as well as work towards a safe and stimulating learning environment. Furthermore, you will take responsibility for systematically documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and following up on students' development. You will contribute to collegial learning and pedagogical development, aiming for higher goal achievement. We focus extra on creating accessible learning environments for all students, as we are convinced that all students do the right thing if they can!

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with at least qualifications to teach Swedish/SVA, Mathematics, and English at the intermediate level. Broader subject competence is advantageous.

As a person, you have the ability to work systematically, clearly, and remain low-affective in your interaction with students. You genuinely believe that students do the right thing if they can. You are well-versed in our governing documents, and the students' learning and the development of teaching are your primary and greatest focus, in harmony with the students' well-being. Collaborating in work teams is a matter of course for us, and we make each other better.
