We are now looking for a personal assistant for a 19-year-old girl with Cri du chat syndrome. She always needs to have someone by her side. Therefore, your sense of responsibility and engagement are crucial.

About the client

She is a young woman with great willpower and personality. She can sometimes be stubborn and speak her mind, which means you as an assistant need to be both patient and respectful in your interaction. At the same time, she appreciates it when daily life flows with routines, walks, and companionship.

She uses a wheelchair when she is out, but walks short distances indoors. She may vomit frequently, which means you need to be alert and able to help quickly, for example by holding out a vomit bag.

About the role

As a personal assistant, you are her safe support in daily life. You are there to provide help, encouragement, and structure, but also to ensure that she is never left alone. You need to be someone who takes initiative and does not wait for someone else to say what needs to be done.

Your tasks may include:

• Providing practical support in daily life.
• Supporting personal care.
• Accompanying her on walks and activities.
• Always keeping an eye on her and creating a sense of security around her.

We are looking for you who

• Are responsible, attentive, and proactive.
• Have the ability to remain calm, secure, and patient even when she is stubborn.
• Are flexible and solution-oriented in different situations.
• Have experience working with people with disabilities – advantageous but not a requirement.
