The Unit for Work and Studies consists of two teams: the SE-team and the IPS-team. The IPS-team has been working for 10 years with the evidence-based method Individual Placement and Support (IPS), a method recommended by the National Board of Health and Welfare for work-oriented rehabilitation (read more on the National Board of Health and Welfare's website). The target group for the IPS-team includes individuals with mental illness, harmful substance use, addiction, and autism. The intervention is assessed based on need for social assistance. The SE-team works according to the Supported Employment method and targets individuals receiving financial assistance. Both the IPS and SE teams work with individuals who want support to find work or studies, often in combination with other support and/or treatment. Our approach is based on "place and train," meaning we start searching for a workplace at an early stage.

Your responsibilities

You support participants based on their own wishes to choose, obtain, and maintain work and/or studies. The support is tailored individually together with the participant; you work with approximately 20 participants simultaneously. An important part of the job involves developing cooperation with various employers and enhancing your own matching skills, matching against the open labor market. We collaborate with both internal and external actors regarding the individual to facilitate the path to work or studies. Collaboration occurs with the social services, healthcare, and other support functions in the person's network. The method helps us in our daily work with both principles for our work and a clear structure. As an employment consultant, you have the opportunity to influence the planning of your own work and experience variety in your daily tasks. Much of the work takes place outside the office, such as employer visits, collaboration meetings, and meetings with participants in the community.

The role includes documentation in the document management system Combine. We use Teams as our daily communication channel.

Who are you?

We are currently looking for 1–2 employment consultants who enjoy a varied job where much of the working time is "in the field," with a strong focus on contact with employers. You have the ability to build good relationships with both participants and collaboration partners/employers, are solution-focused and creative, and have the ability to adapt to the circumstances the participant is in, whether changes occur at the workplace or in life in general. You enjoy working based on evidence-based methods and developing in your professional role. Employment may take place in either the IPS or SE team.

Requirements:

• You are educated as an occupational therapist, behavioral scientist, or have another university/higher education degree deemed equivalent.

Merits:

• Education in IPS, SE, or SEd (Supported education).
• Education in Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Knowledge of the labor market and business life.
• Education or knowledge regarding the BIP study and its results.
• Valid driver's license.
• Knowledge and experience within mental illness, disability, and/or harmful substance use.
