Musical Instructor – Medborgarskolan Gothenburg

Do you love singing, music, and dance, and want to share your knowledge with both children and adults? Medborgarskolan in Gothenburg is now looking for a knowledgeable and engaged instructor in the subject of Musical.

Medborgarskolan operates nationwide, and nearly one million people participate in our courses and cultural activities every year. We welcome everyone and aim to contribute to joyful learning, creativity, and civic engagement. Medborgarskolan Region West covers Västra Götaland and Halland.

We are looking for someone with knowledge in:

• Vocal Technique – good knowledge of vocal care, breathing, and different singing styles within musicals
• Acting – basic stage work, role interpretation, and character building
• Dance and Movement – knowledge of simpler choreography and the ability to teach movement
• Pedagogical Skills – ability to adapt teaching to different levels and ages
• Musical Repertoire – familiarity with various musicals, genres, and styles
• Direction and Musical Coaching – ability to put together numbers and work with the whole and expression
• Communication and Leadership – create a safe group feeling and motivate participants
• Planning and Structure – ability to design course structure and progression

Who are you?

You are pedagogical, inspiring, and enjoy meeting people. You like sharing your knowledge and creating a welcoming and educational atmosphere. You must be able to communicate well in Swedish and preferably have experience working with adults and children by holding workshops/courses.

How you work with us

As an instructor, you work in a group and lead participants through practical exercises, lectures, or workshops within your area of expertise. The courses are usually in the evenings, but weekends and daytime may also occur. The position is a fixed-term assignment, and we have a collective agreement.
