Do you want to help develop the Sea Cadet Corps (Sjövärnskåren)?

We have an exciting and complex operation that is now looking for a meticulous and engaged coordinator!

The Sea Cadet Corps is one of Sweden's 18 voluntary defense organizations and the only one with a maritime focus. We train young people and adults, conduct exercises, and support the Swedish total defense through maritime competence and voluntary engagement.

The organization comprises approximately 4,000 members and consists of 14 local corps along the entire Swedish coast. The operations are coordinated by a national federation with an office on Blasieholmen in Stockholm.

We are now looking for a producer/coordinator for our office. This is a broad and independent role for you who enjoy keeping processes together, driving projects forward, and creating structure in complex operations. Since we have a small office, you must also be prepared to pitch in where needed. And you; we like to have fun at work!

About the role

The role combines administration, project management, and coordination. Part of the role involves taking over and further developing administrative tasks within the office, while a large part focuses on coordinating and holding together various projects, collaborations, and operational processes.

We are therefore looking for someone who is used to being the "spider in the web," someone who can juggle many threads simultaneously without losing structure, quality, or foresight.

The work involves close collaboration with both office staff and local corps, authorities, voluntary organizations, and external partners, including within total defense, education, and maritime operations.

Responsibilities

You will among other things:

  • coordinate and follow up on projects and collaborations
  • plan meetings, training, exercises, and activities
  • coordinate contacts between the office, the corps, and external actors
  • contribute to clearer processes, routines, and annual calendars
  • work with operational administration and documentation
  • assist in reporting, communication, and follow-up
  • support the office in ongoing planning and operational development

The work is carried out year-round, with periods of high intensity, especially during the summer when large parts of the educational activities take place.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • is very structured and meticulous
  • has good collaboration skills and is confident in contact with many different types of people and organizations
  • can work both independently and in a team
  • is accustomed to taking responsibility, prioritizing, and driving work forward
  • thrives in a role with great variety and many contact surfaces

Experience is required in:

  • project management, coordination, or coordinating work
  • administrative work in complex operations
  • planning and following up on operations or projects
  • expressing oneself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • good computer skills, especially within Microsoft Office

Desirable experience:

  • non-profit sector or member organizations
  • educational activities or course administration
  • work in collaboration with authorities or the public sector
  • maritime operations, civil society, total defense, or voluntary defense organizations

Merits:

  • experience in communication work
  • experience in large collaboration projects
  • nautical and/or marine technical degree

Terms of Employment:

The position is a permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period. The position is full-time and located in Stockholm.

Start date is by agreement, if possible in August 2026. Salary and other terms by agreement.

Before starting, the applicant must provide a certificate of good conduct. Security clearance may be required.
