The Urology Clinic in Ängelholm is part of the Urology Business Area, which provides urological care within Helsingborg Hospital. In Ängelholm, we run an outpatient clinic, while in Helsingborg, we also have an outpatient clinic and an inpatient ward where we operate on urological patients requiring inpatient care. At the urology clinic, we investigate and treat diseases of the urinary tract; many of these are investigated due to suspicion of a urological cancer diagnosis or are treated for this. At the clinic, medical secretaries, nurses, contact nurses, nursing assistants, operation coordinators, and doctors work in close collaboration.

Job Description

We welcome a new clinic nurse to our urology clinic.

As a clinic nurse, you will work with your own clinic sessions and telephone advice for patients with urological diagnoses, as well as the admission of patients scheduled for surgery. You are the patient's contact link at the clinic and the person they turn to regarding follow-up, care advice, self-care advice, and support regarding planning and ongoing treatment. We follow our patients for a long time at the clinic, so we get to know them well.

The clinic work also involves assisting the doctor with examinations such as cystoscopy, TRUS (Transrectal Ultrasound), and prostate biopsy. It also involves administering various medications, injections, or bladder installations, changing catheters, and educating patients regarding self-catheterization. Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at a minimum level of C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. Further education in urology, experience in clinic work, and/or urological operations are meritorious. We use the systems Melior and Pasis, so it is an advantage if you have knowledge of these systems.

As a person, you have good collaboration skills while also thriving in independent work. Furthermore, you are flexible, meticulous, and have good organizational skills. You are service-oriented and have a good attitude towards patients, relatives, and colleagues. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
