Description

We are strengthening our lower secondary school with two additional teachers to develop a two-teacher system!

We are therefore looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach at the lower secondary level. You must at least be qualified in mathematics and Swedish/SVA, as well as in English and a practical-aesthetic subject. Additional subject qualifications are of course an advantage.

Equally important is that you have experience working as a teacher at the lower secondary level and have a developed approach to teamwork with your colleagues to create good group dynamics, security, and a conducive learning environment in the classroom.

Utmarksskolan has approximately 300 students in grades 4 to 9. We are a school with both high staff density and good continuity in both the staff group and leadership. Our focus is that all students can and should learn. This has resulted in our students succeeding well and our grade results improving year after year. Students who attend our school receive solid knowledge, and we are very proud to only employ certified teachers. It is important to all of us at Utmarksskolan that our students do well.

Responsibilities

Together with your colleagues, you create the conditions for students' knowledge development to reach the goals of the curriculum and course plans. You will plan, implement, and evaluate the pedagogical work as well as work towards a secure and stimulating learning environment. Furthermore, you are responsible for systematically documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and following up on students' development. Mentorship is included in the position.

You contribute to collegial learning and the pedagogical work, as well as developing teaching for higher goal achievement. We focus extra on creating accessible learning environments for all students, as we are convinced that all students do their best if they can!

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with at least the qualifications to teach Swedish/SVA, mathematics, English, and a practical-aesthetic subject at the lower secondary level. Broader subject competence is an advantage. It is also an advantage if you have experience teaching in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas and if you are qualified to also teach in grades 7–9.

As a person, you have the ability to work systematically, clearly, and be low-affective in your interaction with students, and you truly believe that they do their best if they can. You are well acquainted with our governing documents and student learning. The development of teaching is your primary and greatest focus in harmony with student well-being. Collaborating in work teams is a matter of course for us, and we make each other better.
