We are looking for an engaged accounting assistant who wants to contribute structure, quality, and support to members, employees, and elected officials in an organization that makes a difference for tenants every day!

This is a parental leave replacement for a period of one year.

Your Role

As an accounting assistant with us, you will have a central role in the daily financial work. You will work closely with colleagues and have ongoing contact with members, elected officials, and suppliers regarding financial and invoice matters.

Responsibilities include among other things:

• Handling supplier invoices and billing
• Performing account reconciliations
• Managing reminder processes
• Handling incoming and outgoing payments
• Administering card orders
• Responsible for banking operations
• Performing some ongoing accounting/reporting
• Contacting members, elected officials, and suppliers regarding invoice issues

Your Background

We are looking for you who have a post-secondary education in accounting and at least three years of experience working as an accounting assistant, preferably in a larger organization. You are accustomed to working independently and handling financial processes from start to finish, for example within invoice flows or ongoing bookkeeping.

Qualifications:

• At least post-secondary education with a focus on accounting
• At least 3 years of experience as an accounting assistant in a larger organization with multi-dimensional accounting
• Independently handle customer accounts and supplier accounts from start to finish.

Merits:

• Good system knowledge in Palette and Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Good Excel skills
