RESPONSIBILITIES

As a student assistant, you will work closely with a youth who uses a wheelchair and has extensive care needs. Your duties include supporting schoolwork as well as assisting with medication, tube feeding, toilet visits, and changing.

The student is attached to the school's special education group (SU). On days when the student is absent, you serve as a resource in the operation and work together with other staff to support other students based on their needs.

The work involves both pedagogical and practical tasks. You need to be able to create secure relationships, be clear and flexible, and adapt your support based on the students' different prerequisites.

Certain teaching may occur within the scope of the position.

You will also have mentorship responsibilities for some students, which implies daily contact with guardians and being an important link between school and home. The mentorship includes following the students' development, supporting them in study situations, and contributing to structure and security during the school day.

We are looking for someone who is secure, responsible, and solution-focused, with the ability to collaborate closely with students, guardians, and colleagues. Experience working in schools, care, or special education groups is advantageous.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, warm, and empathetic, with a strong commitment to supporting students in need of special assistance. You must have a good ability to build relationships, be clear and flexible in your interactions, and adapt your work based on the students' individual needs and daily condition.

Personal suitability will be valued very highly.

We are looking for someone who:

• has experience working with students in need of special support,
• has the ability to create structure, security, and good relationships,
• can collaborate closely with colleagues, guardians, and external contacts,
• is responsible, solution-focused, and flexible in your approach.

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience working in special education groups,
• experience in personal care,
• experience in medical care such as medication, tube feeding, and personal hygiene,
• experience working with students with autism, intellectual disabilities (IF-diagnos), or high school-related anxiety,
• experience working pedagogically and with clear/structured methods.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.
