About the position

Personal assistance is a support measure under the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with whatever arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

The client is a 41-year-old woman living in Linköping. She is a very happy and cheerful person who laughs easily and has interests such as dancing and fitness. As a personal assistant, we would like you to also enjoy when things are happening and to be keen on engaging in fun activities. The client has an intellectual disability and epilepsy, does not use verbal speech but relies on body language. She uses a wheelchair, and there are mobility aids in the home, although some transfers are also done manually.

Who are you?

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative, see what needs to be done, and thrive in a dynamic work environment. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the client. We preferably see female applicants for the position, but personal suitability is given the greatest weight.

Requirements for the position:

• Good knowledge of Swedish
• Good physical condition and ability to perform manual transfers at work

Merits for the position:

• Experience in the role of personal assistant or equivalent work
• Experience with epilepsy
• Experience with aids such as feeding tubes and PEG
• Experience with mobility aids such as ceiling hoists
• Share the client's interest in fun activities such as dancing and fitness

Working hours, employment degree, and salary

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment degree of approximately 50%. Work shifts will be scheduled on both weekdays and weekends. Working hours are scheduled during the day between 08:00–16:00 and in the evening between 16:00–22:00.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other benefits are paid according to collective agreements.

Start date: Immediately or according to agreement.
