About the position

Personal assistance is a service under LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired Persons). In your role as a personal assistant, you will mainly help the client with everything that arises in everyday life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves protecting the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

The client is a 58-year-old man living in Ängelholm who has a muscle disease and diabetes. The client's individual needs dictate the workday, and the work may include help with mobility, personal care, training, communication, as well as daily chores and activities in and outside the home.

The client enjoys video games, movies, and music, as well as going on excursions and to the cinema.

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good chemistry between you and the client.

As a person, you need to be positive, motivating, and social.

Requirements for the position:

• Previous experience working in healthcare/care or as a personal assistant.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good physical condition.
• Tolerance for pets, as there is a cat in the home.
• Non-smoker (during working hours).

Merits for the position:

• Experience working with diabetes.

Personal suitability will be given great weight. Our client prefers female applicants, but all applications will be considered.

Working hours, employment degree, and salary

The current form of employment is "Hourly employment," which means work on demand with varying hours during the day, evening, and night on weekdays and weekends. Working hours are 08:00-15:40, 15:00-21:00, and 20:30-08:40, with 8 hours and 20 minutes of on-call duty at night. The schedule may change after the summer.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.

Start date: Immediately or according to agreement.
