Sigtuna Municipality is a place of great diversity. Here you will find a vibrant countryside, a small town, and an international airport. A rich cultural heritage and cultural diversity. A proud history and ambitious future plans. Perhaps this is why the drive to grow, change, and develop is so strong. This is also why it is so exciting to work here. With us, you become part of a flat hierarchy and innovative culture where we help each other and value each other's knowledge, differences, and experiences. The work is often varied, sometimes challenging, but always meaningful. Welcome!
The Social Services Department has a broad area of responsibility, including authority exercises and preventive measures, including child and youth care, substance abuse and addiction care, domestic violence, financial assistance, and family law.
The Social Services Department has a new organization, effective from 2026-09-01. The department now consists of divisions instead of units, and a new management layer has been introduced. One result of the new organization is that all treatment interventions that are assessed for assistance are contained within one division (the Division for Treatment Interventions), and the interventions offered without an assistance decision are contained within another (the Division for Preventive Interventions). We see many advantages with the new organization. In addition to offering close supervision through a manager, it enables treatment interventions to be offered earlier and with higher quality.

Job Responsibilities
Are you an engaged family therapist who wants to work therapeutically with children and families?
As a family therapist in Sigtuna, you are part of the Division for Treatment Interventions, which is responsible for all of the Social Services Department's assistance-assessed treatment interventions. The division consists of two units, led by two unit managers.
The Unit for Children, Young People, and Family Treatment consists of 12 employees who work with family treatment and support for young people, based on different orientations and specialized competence. The work is systemic and based on the goals developed by the investigation unit. We want to use the competence on the division as wisely as possible, and there is an expectation that you also want to contribute to this development when needed.
Within the division, there is also the Unit for Children, Adults, and Family Support, which consists of 13 employees. This unit also includes a school team. In cases where necessary, we will collaborate and exchange competence between the units. In this way, we work to offer the best possible interventions to our residents.
We work intensively with our clients with clear objectives. Often, the work will take place in close collaboration with the investigation unit to work on change processes in parallel with ongoing investigations.
The work is led by a unit manager who has long experience in family treatment and social services. As an employee, you have access to regular and structured case supervision of good quality, as well as external supervision.
There is also the possibility to work from home when the work allows.
Qualifications
You are a social worker or have another academic education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience working in the field of social services and you have experience and education in treatment work with families.
The work is carried out in the social services' premises and at the clients' homes, depending on needs.
