Personal Assistant for a Cheerful Teenager in Tullinge

Hello!

I am an energetic and cheerful young man, turning 19 soon, living in Tullinge with my family. Due to cerebral palsy (CP) since birth, epilepsy, and additional disabilities, I require 24/7 personal assistance to live my life. I already have a fantastic team of assistants by my side, and I am now looking for one more to join our team.

Aside from school, I enjoy staying home with my family, playing video games, baking, and going for walks. Occasionally, I enjoy day trips, and my favorite places are Tom Tits Experiment and Skansen.

Job Responsibilities

Personal assistance is about providing service – assisting me so that I can live like any other teenager, which includes everything involved in my daily life. My disabilities mean I need help with almost everything: meals, hygiene, activities, exercise, breathing gymnastics, and communication. I have phlegm and breathing issues, so you must be attentive and observant of my needs.

During the day, I attend school, and after school, I usually go home to do fun things with the help of my assistant. Part of your work involves assisting me with motor training.

Who are you?

You should have a strong work ethic and enjoy having a lot to do, regardless of the time of day. I want you to be engaged in your work and supportive of both me and the team. You should be unpretentious, attentive to my needs, and have a professional and positive attitude towards the work – you are incredibly important in my life!

I am looking for someone who is social, flexible, responsible, and works with heart. I appreciate initiative and clear communication. Although I have lifting aids, the job still involves physical tasks, so good physical fitness is a plus.

It is an advantage if you have some form of healthcare education or experience with inhalation, tube feeding, BPAP, and/or cough and suction machines, but this is not a requirement. Previous experience as a personal assistant is a merit.

The Position

Approx. 24 hours/week (approx. 60%) Primarily evenings and nights, 16:00–21:30 and 21:30–07:30. Alternatively, extra shifts on an as-needed basis (hourly employment).
