About the Role
Do you thrive working with the entire payroll process and want to combine precision with first-class service? In this role, you will support both employees and managers at Scania, contributing to ensuring high-quality, accurate, and efficient payroll administration. We process approximately 23,000 payrolls every month and have multiple system integrations – you will enjoy a varied daily routine ranging from ongoing payroll administration to improvement projects.

You will become part of our dedicated Payroll team, consisting of payroll administrators and specialists, supported by colleagues in Poland who handle expense reports and time systems. Main Responsibilities
- Handle payroll from start to finish, including new hires, changes, and terminations, absence, supplements, deductions, and other payroll data
- Provide daily support and guidance to employees and managers
- Perform quality controls and register maintenance to ensure correct payroll data and results
- Contribute to continuous improvements by actively initiating and participating in development initiatives within the team
- Represent Payroll and contribute to various projects related to digitalization, automation, and process development
- Support annual activities such as calendar and vacation year changes
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders at Scania and external parties such as suppliers and authorities as needed
Your Profile
You are driven, communicative, and have a strong service mindset with a high sense of responsibility and attention to detail. You thrive in team collaboration and want to contribute to high quality, regulatory compliance, and improvement work.
Requirements
- Vocational Higher Education (YH) in Payroll (1.5–2 years) plus at least 2 years of practical experience with the entire payroll process, or at least 5 years of experience in operational payroll work
- Good knowledge of laws and regulations within the payroll area
- Experience working with various collective agreements
- Professional level in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Strong collaboration skills and a proactive, service-oriented approach to work
Meritorious
- Experience with the SD Worx payroll system
- Experience working according to the Technical Agreement (Teknikavtalet)

Payroll is one of five departments within People Services Sweden and consists of 24 colleagues. We have a wonderful mix of experiences and competencies, and a supportive culture where we help each other and are happy to share our knowledge.
