Addiction Center Malmö (BCM) is part of Adult Psychiatry Malmö/Trelleborg within the Department of Psychiatry, Habilitation, and Assistive Devices. BCM is an innovative and dynamic operation with highly dedicated staff. The operation is one of the largest in the country within the field of addiction diseases. We offer treatment and diagnostics for alcohol, drug, and medication addiction in outpatient care, as well as inpatient care for individuals with addiction issues requiring specialist assessment and specialist care. We also have a regional assignment for inpatient care for opioid addiction.

BCM has clinics for alcohol and medication abuse, dual diagnosis, drug addiction with or without neuropsychiatric diagnosis, gambling addiction, as well as a youth clinic and accredited clinics for medication-assisted rehabilitation for opioid addiction (LARO).

Clinic 2 LARO Malmö is an outpatient clinic that treats and rehabilitates patients with opioid addiction. We offer assessments, pharmacological treatment, psychosocial interventions, group therapy, and training for relatives. In addition, our task is to diagnose and assess patients with opioid addiction. We work with the patient in focus and believe it is important to develop and improve care for our patient group. To optimize patient care, good collaboration is required within the clinic team as well as in cooperation with other actors such as Social Services, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.

Our employees work in a cross-professional team with high competence, represented by several different professional groups including specialist doctors, psychiatric nurses, nurses, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, and receptionists. Our clinic is located in Malmö within walking distance from Triangeln and Södervärn bus station, which facilitates commuting by regional bus or train.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of nurse, you work with patients seeking help to overcome their opioid addiction. Your duties include medication management, clinical assessments, conversations, sample collection, ECG, medical record documentation in Melior, visit registration, care planning/coordinated individual plan (SIP), cooperation with external authorities and healthcare facilities, quality registration, and routine nursing tasks.

Furthermore, the role includes work with relapse prevention (RP) and motivational interviewing (MI) - both individually with patients and in group format, as well as responsibility for training in the use of Naloxone. Additionally, patient education and other group activities may be included. Together with other employees, you collaborate closely with social services and other healthcare partners.

When you start, you will receive a good introduction based on your experience and knowledge. The position is a temporary hourly employment, based on preferences and the operation's needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. To be eligible for the position, you must have received your professional license as a nurse. Specialist training in psychiatry and/or basic psychotherapy training (CBT) is considered meritorious. Experience with LARO and/or addiction care is highly meritorious.

Assistive devices have the assignment to manage assistive devices prescribed to patients in Skåne. Within the department, there is also vision, hearing, and deaf operations and youth clinics in Skåne.
