Sverkerskolan is a school for grades F-9 located in the heart of Luthagen. The lower primary section is housed in two beautiful school buildings from the early 1900s. The school has expanded upwards in age groups into nearby premises that have also been renovated. Sverkerskolan has long been an stimulating and developmental environment for students and staff. The school has a long tradition of pedagogical development and innovation. The school's staff consists of many different specialist functions that contribute to a diversity of competence and perspectives.

Description of Duties

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with broad eligibility. Initially, you will work in the school's lower primary section, but eligibility to work in the middle school section is meritorious as we have teachers who follow students between different stages. You plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the pedagogical work according to the curriculum and other regulatory documents within your subjects, as well as what is related to the education in collaboration with colleagues. Together, you work to ensure that all students thrive and develop based on their individual prerequisites. You have a strong interest in motivating and adapting teaching to students in need of special support. The teaching team in each grade has a joint responsibility for all students' goal achievement and collaborates closely. The teachers share subjects with each other and thus teach all students in the grade.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching degree and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is a basic requirement for the position. You also need to have good knowledge of the school's regulatory documents and the compulsory school curriculum.

It is meritorious if you have a teaching degree that spans several stages or broad competence in different teaching areas. Furthermore, we would like you to have experience teaching in younger age groups as well as good IT skills with a focus on pedagogical work. If you also have further education in special needs pedagogy, it is an extra asset in the role.

You have good collaboration skills and work well with others by being receptive, communicative, and constructive in different situations. With your pedagogical insight, you easily adapt your way of conveying information based on the recipient's needs and prerequisites. You also have a clear holistic view and understand how your role contributes to the organization's overall goals, which enables you to make decisions and act with the best interests of the entire organization in focus.
