We are now looking for a Biomedical Analyst for the Unit of Close Care and Pre-analysis, within the Laboratory Medicine business area, at University Hospital in Örebro. As an employee at Close Care and Pre-analysis, you work in a team with biomedical analysts, nurses, assistant nurses, and object specialists. The unit includes several of the Laboratory Medicine business area's support functions such as sample dispatch, IT, quality assurance, as well as patient- and customer-oriented activities such as phlebotomy, customer service, and PNA.

The duties are mainly located at the sample dispatch and phlebotomy units. At sample dispatch, we handle samples that are to be sent to clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, clinical immunology, as well as samples included in research and studies. The work is very varied, and it is important to be able to manage several tasks simultaneously. Collaboration with colleagues is crucial in shaping the day.

At the phlebotomy unit, we perform venous and capillary blood sampling and stress tests on both adults and children. We also assist with sampling on wards and clinics within the hospital.

Full-time, primarily daytime Monday to Friday, but some evening shifts are included.

Licensed Biomedical Analyst with a specialization in Laboratory Medicine. We place great importance on you providing good treatment to customers, patients, and colleagues, as well as having a high sense of service and responsibility. You are stress-resistant and capable of working with multiple tasks simultaneously in a structured, quality-aware, and meticulous manner. You have good teamwork skills and contribute to the development of the business area.

The Laboratory Medicine business area has a consolidated responsibility for the laboratory medicine service provided at the laboratories within University Hospital Örebro, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindesberg Hospital. We run a broad operation within the areas of clinical chemistry, bacteriology, virology, immunology, transfusion medicine including therapeutic plasmapheresis treatment, pathology, cytology, and molecular genetics. The business area also encompasses Sterile Technology. Nearly 300 people work here with routine diagnostics, research and development, as well as education.
