We are currently seeking an engaged Environmental Coordinator for a key role where you will drive environmental and chemical work related to products in a technology-intensive and socially important operation. You will work with both new development, production, and support, participating in the entire product lifecycle, from development and procurement to use and decommissioning. ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client operates within the defense industry and works every day to make Sweden a little safer. You will become part of a five-person team with varying levels of experience, ensuring you receive all the support you need in the form of a clear introduction and mentorship – all to help you get started with your tasks in the best possible way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute activities to achieve project and product environmental goals
- Ensure compliance with environmental and chemical requirements
- Apply and interpret environmental and chemical legislation
- Prepare and quality-assure environmental and chemical documentation for customers
- Handle hazardous substances and serve as the contact person for transport issues
- Collaborate with internal functions such as product development, procurement, and support
- Drive improvement projects to replace materials with more sustainable alternatives
- Report to relevant authorities according to current legal requirements
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Post-secondary education in environmental science, chemistry, materials, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Good knowledge of environmental and chemical legislation (REACH, CLP, etc.)
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as both languages are used daily in dialogue with customers
It is not a requirement but is considered an asset if you:
- Have previous experience in a similar role and/or experience from the defense industry
As a person, you are:
- Structured, engaged, and independent
- Clear in your communication and skilled at creating consensus around requirements and processes
ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT
This is a consulting assignment, meaning you will be employed by Friday. Since our client operates within the defense industry, you will need to undergo a security clearance if you proceed in the recruitment process.
