We want to continue to be at the forefront with care, research, and education. This means daring to think new thoughts – and having the best employees. Therefore, we offer unique opportunities for further learning and invest in modern environments with efficient systems and tools. The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic in Norrköping is part of the Psychiatric Centre in Region Östergötland. The clinic's activities are directed towards children and young people with moderate to severe mental symptoms as well as neuropsychiatric functional variations. The Intermediate Care Team is one of the clinic's seven treatment teams. The clinic also includes a Children's House and a Baby Unit. The clinic has approximately 90 employees.
The Intermediate Care Team works based on assignments from families and outpatient care. The team offers time-limited therapeutic interventions to all patient groups within outpatient care. To meet the family's needs, the intermediate care uses a flexible and family-oriented approach with the possibility of intensive work in the patient's immediate environment. Collaboration with schools and social services is common. The team consists of social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists. As a social worker in the Intermediate Care Team, you contribute, in collaboration with the family, to giving children and young people increased opportunities for a good daily life, schooling/employment, and leisure activities.
At BUP Norrköping, we constantly work on development and improvement projects to create better care for our patients and a good working environment for our employees.
