Job Responsibilities

As a pool cook, you will work at all our units within preschools, primary schools, and upper secondary schools. The position involves varied work where all typical tasks within the kitchen, dishwashing, and dining hall are included. At some smaller preschools, cleaning is also included as part of the job duties.

We produce approximately 12,000 meals daily in the municipality, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks, based on locally planned menus. The work includes cooking from scratch, preparing special diets and adapted meals, as well as salad preparation. You are also involved in meeting the organization's goals regarding kitchen economics, purchasing, self-control, waste measurement, and documentation. A holistic view of the meal and its quality is a natural part of the work, as is ordering food and financial follow-up.

We work actively with student participation and strive to create climate-smart meals, which permeates the entire operation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• are a trained cook or have relevant education within the restaurant/food industry
• have experience working as a cook and are accustomed to service and customer interaction
• fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written
• have good experience using digital tools in your work
• have a driver's license as this is a requirement for this position

You should be flexible, proactive, and have the ability to inspire. You have a creative mindset and view service as one of your key strengths. You have a positive attitude towards guests and colleagues and understand that your engagement is crucial for our guests' dining experience.

As a person, you have a great interest in cooking from scratch and want to contribute to developing the entire dining experience. You are engaged in the organization's goals and have a special interest in working with reduced food waste, which is one of our priority areas.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You are responsible, flexible, and show engagement in your work, whether you work independently or in a team.
