Norrby Preschool Kitchen is looking for a cook/meal service staff member for the final preparation kitchen in Hortlax, where breakfast, lunch, and snacks are served in a shared dining hall for the preschool's 5 departments, comprising approximately 80-90 preschool children and staff. We are looking for someone who enjoys being creative, providing good service, has strong collaboration skills, and has previous experience working in a kitchen. Are you the one we are looking for?

Job Responsibilities
The responsibilities include final preparation and serving of the day's various lunch options, as well as preparing and serving breakfast and snacks in accordance with the Meal Service offering. Additionally, you will prepare a varied and seasonally adjusted salad buffet, side dishes, and alternatives adapted for children requiring special diets. You are responsible for safe food handling, self-control, good hygiene, dishwashing, and cleaning in the kitchen. Furthermore, the role involves ordering food from the production kitchen and ordering goods via the municipality's e-commerce system; in addition to food and dairy products, this includes cleaning supplies, disposable materials, chemicals, etc. Current agreements must be followed. You will work alone in the kitchen but in close collaboration with the pedagogical activities.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who have experience working in a kitchen. We would prefer that you have a restaurant education at the upper secondary level or equivalent education deemed suitable by the employer and/or documented experience as a cook or meal service staff member in large-scale kitchens or restaurants. Sufficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, for safe handling in a large-scale kitchen. Good computer skills and knowledge of the programs used in the work are meritorious, as is experience in cleaning. Kitchen work is physically demanding and sometimes heavy, requiring good physical fitness.

More about the position
Temporary employment: Full-time, 40 hours/week.
Summer job, Monday–Friday. A summer job means work is performed according to the current schedule. Start date 10/8-26 or by agreement. Ongoing recruitment. Probation period may apply.
