Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (The Support and Service Act for Certain Functionally Disabled). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to people who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Every client is unique, and your tasks will vary depending on the client's needs. You value the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done.

We are now looking for you who meet the following criteria:

• Wish to work for a 59-year-old man living in Tumba

• Have good knowledge of Swedish

• Have previous experience working as a personal assistant

• Have experience with tracheostomy suctioning machines and ventilators

• Have experience with stretching exercises

• Have experience with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)

• Have good physical fitness

It is also an advantage if you:

• Have a valid B-class driver's license

• Are trained as a nurse assistant (undersköterska)

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, extent of employment:

The current form of employment is a temporary hourly position (on-call/needs-based employment). We are looking for someone who can work as needed, for example, when regular staff is absent, on leave, or during vacation periods. Shifts are scheduled for both weekdays and weekends.

The working hours are scheduled according to the following shifts:

Daytime: 08:00–16:00

Awake night: 21:00–08:00

Salary

A fixed hourly wage applies as agreed, and other compensations (such as shift allowances) are made in accordance with the current collective agreement.

Start date

Immediately or as agreed.

Working at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
