The Workplace

Carl Johanskolan is a secondary school in central Karlsborg that has undergone a total renovation of its premises, both internally and externally. The school offers excellent opportunities for learning in an environment that is positive for both students and staff. We have approximately 35 employees, including the principal and deputy principal. We are now in need of a teacher in Physics and Mathematics at our secondary school as the current teacher is moving on to other assignments within the school.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a teacher in Physics and Mathematics for teaching in grades 7-9. The role includes planning, implementing, following up, and adapting teaching, as well as documenting students' learning processes. Together with the work team, you are responsible for the students' academic and social development and conduct development work for both teaching and the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the eligibility to teach physics and mathematics at the secondary level. You have good knowledge of the curriculum and the school's steering documents and can implement them in daily work in a secure and professional manner.

You have good pedagogical and didactic skills and can adapt teaching based on students' different needs and prerequisites. With clarity and commitment, you create an accessible learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop and reach their goals. You are accustomed to using relevant digital tools as support in teaching and see the value of developing your working methods based on research and proven experience. For you, student learning and development are always at the center.

As a person, you are relationship-building and enjoy seeing other people grow. You take initiative, work systematically, and at the same time have the ability to be flexible when the situation requires it. You collaborate well with students, guardians, and colleagues and contribute to a positive work climate. You feel confident in making your own decisions, while seeing collaboration as a natural part of creating the best conditions for students' development and participation.
