The Legal Unit, part of the Division for Law and Trade Affairs, is now seeking to strengthen its team and is recruiting one to two lawyers. Here, we work with both internal matters within the agency and external contacts with other authorities, the Government Offices, organizations, and companies. Our tasks include providing legal support to operations, handling remissions, case management, and regulatory work. We also contribute to implementing new regulations and supporting international cooperation regarding accreditation, regulated metrology, and the EU internal market. Digitalization is a key part of the agency's development, and legal support is central to this work. The lawyer group currently consists of six lawyers and is led by the unit manager. About the Position

As a lawyer with us, you will have a varied job where you support management and operations in legal matters. Tasks may include:

  • responding to remissions and handling incoming complaints
  • conducting internal and external training
  • participating in projects and development work
  • supporting procurement matters
  • reviewing and drafting agreements
  • interpreting and implementing new regulations
  • drafting and revising the agency's regulations
  • representing the agency in court.

Your Qualifications – Our Requirements

You who apply must have:

  • a law degree or equivalent legal education assessed by the employer as equivalent
  • at least three years of experience in work relevant to the position in the public sector
  • very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both written and oral.

It is meritorious if you also have experience in:

  • interpreting and applying EU regulations
  • working with digitalization and AI tools
  • developing and conducting training and other information efforts
  • drafting regulations

You are proactive, driven, and have a holistic perspective with a focus on development. You are curious about digitalization and see opportunities to use, for example, AI tools to develop methods and solutions. To succeed in the job, it is also important that you are flexible, meticulous, curious, and contribute positive energy to the workplace. Our workplace is located in central Borås in premises with an open office solution. The position is 100% and your permanent employment begins with a 6-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting and start date is by agreement. The location is in Borås.
