RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a teacher for the Pedagogical Center, a unit that started in January 2025. We work with the primary schools in Skövde Municipality, providing acute school support, resource school services, and a municipality-wide special education group.

The unit serves students with special needs where the regular school system is insufficient. As a teacher, you work to create a safe and inclusive environment where every student can develop according to their prerequisites. In addition to teaching, you will work on strengthening students' social and emotional skills, promoting independence, and creating meaningful relationships.

Documentation and evaluation of each student's progress is also an important part of the assignment to continuously adjust methods and interventions. The Pedagogical Center supports the municipality's primary schools when the regular school cannot meet the needs. In your role as a teacher at the Pedagogical Center, you will take an active role in the unit's internal development work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an experienced primary school teacher. Competence in working with Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) in schools is desirable. We are looking for someone who is flexible, secure, and able to quickly adapt to new situations, as the operation is characterized by acute student placements and a high pace where needs can change with short notice.

You enjoy challenging yourself and being creative to achieve results. You are passionate about working with school social issues and should be able to participate in long-term development projects as well as assist in more acute situations.

To begin working in preschool, school, after-school care, and other pedagogical activities, you are required to show an extract from your criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the Swedish Police Authority at www.polisen.se (https://www.polisen.se).
