Personal Assistant Wanted for Tomas in Katrineholm

We are now looking for a secure, warm, and committed personal assistant for Tomas, who lives centrally in Katrineholm.

Tomas is 61 years old and lives with hemiplegia and aphasia after an illness. He needs help and support with all daily tasks, both at home and during activities outside the home. The assistance is around the clock with overnight sleep, and the work also includes weekends.

Tomas enjoys music, sports, and coming up with things to do together with his family. This can involve joining activities, going on short trips, or simply making everyday life more pleasant and easier together. We are therefore looking for you who are social, perceptive, and thrive in being a support in someone else's daily life. Preferably you who share Tomas's interests and would like, from time to time, to go to concerts (lots of hard rock), hockey, football, etc.

The work involves, among other things, support in daily routines, personal care, help during meals, and creating security and structure in the day. You work in Tomas's home where his wife lives and where children and grandchildren are a very important part of Tomas's life. You must have the ability to sense the atmosphere and show consideration to the family as well.

The most important thing is that the personal chemistry feels right. You need to be able to be both a helping hand and a pleasant companion, almost like a friend in everyday life.

We are looking for you who:

• Are calm, considerate, and responsible
• Enjoy working close to people
• Have patience and can create security
• Like music, sports, and social activities
• Preferably have a driver's license as Tomas has his own adapted car
• Do not smoke

There are cats in the home, so you should not be allergic.

Experience in personal assistance is meritorious, but personal suitability means the most. As we are starting up an entirely new team, there is an opportunity to influence working hours and employment degree.

Work in the home with elderly persons or adults with disabilities is subject to register checks according to the Act (2026:43) on register checks when working in the home for elderly persons or adults with disabilities. The law applies from March 1, 2026. In support of the law, we as a company have a policy to request extracts from the criminal record register in connection with new hires. The register check is carried out as a final step in the recruitment process and constitutes part of our overall suitability assessment.
