About the Position

Skogshöjdens School

Do you believe that joy in movement should go hand in hand with knowledge development? Do you want to join a close-knit team and make a difference for our middle school students during the upcoming academic year? Then we have the substitute position for you!

At Skogshöjdens School, we place the student's development and security at the center. We are now looking for an engaged and relationship-building substitute teacher who wants to take on an exciting combined role with us.

Northwest of Trollhättan's center, a 20-minute bike ride away, lies Skogshöjdens School. We are a grades 4–9 school with approximately 280 students.

The school area is located in a beautiful natural setting, surrounded by rocks, forest areas, green spaces, and a gravel football field. The school is also located near Norra Älvsborg County Hospital (NÄL), which has large green areas with beautiful trails and green meadows.

The school is built around a two-track system where we work according to clear development goals, with all staff, students, and guardians being an important part of the process.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will have a varied and enjoyable daily routine where you divide your time between the gymnasium and the classroom. Your main responsibilities include:

• Physical Education and Health: Plan, conduct, and evaluate physical education lessons for our students in grades 4 and 5.

• Theoretical Teaching: Teach theoretical subjects in grade 6. The specific subjects will be adapted to your competencies and the school's needs.

As a substitute with us, you are not thrown into the deep end alone. You will be part of a supportive work team as well as a dedicated team for grade 6. Together, you will plan for the students' goal achievement and well-being. We are proud of our strong team spirit and how we help each other out in big and small matters.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications in Physical Education and Health as well as theoretical subjects for middle school. If you have started a teacher education program or have other experience that we assess as equivalent, you are also warmly welcome to apply.

We are looking for someone who:

• Can quickly adapt to new routines and build good relationships with the students.

• Has strong pedagogical skills and can maintain clear structure in the classroom and gymnasium.

• Is flexible, unpretentious, and thrives in team collaboration.
