About Us
The Adapted Primary School in Lilla Edet Municipality is a workplace where we collaborate to create a safe, developmental, and inspiring learning environment for every student. Lilla Edet Municipality is making long-term investments in the operation and plans for a new school in Lödöse where the Adapted Primary School will move in during the autumn of 2028. The new school will accommodate primary school for grades 1–7 as well as Adapted Primary School for grades 1–10.
Your Role
We are looking for a qualified After-School Center Teacher (Lärare i fritidshem) who wants to become part of our dedicated team. The position involves working within the adapted primary school and school-age care for students in grades 1–9.
In this role, you will:
- work closely with students alongside teaching colleagues, special education teachers, and student assistants,
- plan, implement, and follow up on teaching and activities based on the curriculum for adapted primary school,
- create varied and stimulating activities that promote students' development and learning,
- contribute to a safe and developmental learning environment both indoors and outdoors,
- adapt teaching and interactions based on students' individual needs and prerequisites.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a relational perspective and see the student's development and learning as something shaped in the interaction between the student, the educator, and the learning environment. You are secure, responsible, and engaged, and have the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
Requirements
- teacher education with a focus on after-school centers or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
- strong pedagogical skills and experience in planning and implementing activities that support children's development and learning
- good teamwork and communication skills
- a genuine interest in adapted primary school and knowledge of child development and learning
- as an employee of Lilla Edet Municipality, you have good digital skills and use digital tools in a secure and flexible manner in everyday life
Merits
- experience working in adapted primary school or similar operations
- experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and clarifying pedagogy
- qualifications in subjects such as physical education, home economics, music, or other subjects
- experience working in after-school centers or pedagogical operations
