About Us

Strömsskolan is beautifully located on the west side of the river in a picturesque area that invites "outdoor classrooms". We are a school with currently approximately 350 students, of whom about 200 have after-school care spots. We work in grade levels, which means that planning, implementation, analysis, and evaluation of teaching are done jointly within the grade level, with high flexibility regarding the possibility of grouping students in different constellations based on needs for interest, support, or challenge.

An active work on "inclusion" is central to our school; all students should feel seen and have the opportunity to influence. We focus on "active recesses" led by staff and students to increase the students' joint interaction and provide opportunities for varied activities.

Collaboration and cooperation, a "we-feeling", all professions included, are the keywords for our school, all with the student's best interests in mind.

Your Role

All students should have the opportunity to develop according to their abilities. Through stimulating teaching that focuses on the student's learning, with the right support and motivation-enhancing instruction, students are prepared for the next step in their learning development and made ready for upcoming grades/stages. As professionals, we see our joint learning mission as the most important component for our students to succeed.

You follow students during both school hours and after-school hours, where you are a support to enable optimal development, both academically and socially. You have close collaboration with class teachers during lesson time and with after-school teachers during after-school time; you also follow students out on the playground during recess.

The work is based on the curricula, and teaching is to be conducted under the guidance of primary school teachers and after-school teachers. As an after-school leader, you are an important person in the work team, contributing to the development of care, development, and learning for our students.

Who are you?

You have upper secondary education and preferably additional education/experience of working with children and young people.

• You are calm, structured, and clear in your leadership.
• You can create good relationships with both students and adults and are accustomed to having close collaboration with guardians.
• You are independent and responsible.
• You should have a strong desire to collaborate and develop together with other employees.
• You should be able to adapt your leadership situationally when meeting our students.
• As an employee in Lilla Edet Municipality, you have good digital skills and use digital tools in a secure and flexible way in everyday life.

It is desirable that you have previous experience of this type of work.

It is meritorious if you are accustomed to working and planning based on the curricula for school and after-school care.
