The Finance Department
The Finance Department is a central support function that supports all operations with follow-up, analysis, reporting, planning, and decision-making support to contribute to a stable and sustainable economy. We are a team of six employees within finance and payroll.
With us, you will work in a complex and developing operation with different funding forms and business models, where you build broad experience in an organization in constant motion.

Business Controller in the Finance Department
As a Business Controller with us, you work with follow-up, analysis, and the creation of decision-making support in close collaboration with operation managers and the finance team. You contribute an economic perspective to the operation's planning and work proactively in dialogue with the operations.
You also participate in operation-related development projects and in the work with new initiatives and cases, as well as in the development and efficiency improvement of economic processes and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Ongoing follow-up and analysis of the operations' finances
- Support to operation managers in budgeting, forecasting, and financial follow-up
- Creation of reports, analyses, and decision-making support
- Profitability and cost analyses
- Contract management
- Participation in project management and project follow-up
- Participation in operation-related development projects and creation of financial support for new initiatives and cases
- Development of economic processes and reporting systems, as well as participation in digitalization and efficiency improvement within the finance department
Qualifications
We are looking for you who believe in meetings at eye level and in every person's right to a dignified life.
You have:
- A university education in business economics
- At least 2 years of work experience as a business controller or similar, with experience in analysis, follow-up, and reporting
- Good knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting, and experience working with financial data
- Good system proficiency and experience with finance and reporting systems
- Good ability to express and formulate yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- A strong interest in The Salvation Army's social work
- Read and share The Salvation Army's value system
As a person, you are analytical and structured and thrive in a role with many contact surfaces. You have good collaboration skills, treat others in an engaged and trust-building manner, and can explain economic connections pedagogically. You have a holistic view and weigh the operation's needs against economic conditions. You are stable and non-hierarchical in a changing environment and create security in the dialogue with others.

Terms of Employment
Employment type: Parental leave substitute
Scope: 100%
Working hours: Daytime, weekdays
Start date: September 15 or by agreement, until July 31, 2027
Collective agreement: We are affiliated with the employer organization Fremia and apply Vision's collective agreement “Health, care, and other care”
