The Swedish Migration Agency is looking for experts for National Control Unit 2, with a focus on work against incorrect payments. Do you have the personality and professional capacity we are looking for? Then we can offer stimulating and varied work.

About National Control Unit 2

National Control Unit 2 is responsible for detecting, preventing, and combating crimes and misuse that affect the Swedish Migration Agency's processes or the Swedish welfare systems. At the unit, the Agency's work against incorrect payments, labor market crime, and human trafficking is coordinated. The unit has extensive tip handling as well as internal and external collaboration regarding several different types of misuse of our processes.

Main Responsibilities

As an expert, you will participate in and contribute to the unit's work against incorrect payments. The role includes:

  • Initiating and driving development work within the area of responsibility, both internally and in collaboration with other authorities.
  • Handling, analyzing, and compiling information within the area of responsibility.
  • Being responsible for producing scope studies of incorrect payments.
  • Contributing to analysis work regarding e.g., leads, expertise, and background material.
  • Being responsible for preparations and background material for current issues related to the area of responsibility.
  • Ensuring and providing knowledge and training.
  • Contributing to the unit's ongoing work and overall business development regarding e.g., handling of referrals, business planning, and implementation of cross-unit activities and assignments.
  • Handling and being responsible for specific assignments within the unit's area of responsibility.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have good analytical skills and are skilled at working with complex issues. You have good judgment in statements, actions, and decisions, and thus have the ability to make correct assessments and prioritizations. Furthermore, we see that you take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. You work well with other people and relate to them in a sensitive and smooth manner. You also take responsibility for your tasks, are structured, and drive your processes forward. Furthermore, you have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and people's different prerequisites. It is therefore important that you are clear and have the ability to adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient.

In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.

Requirements

  • University education of at least 180 credits in a field that the employer deems relevant.
  • Current experience of collaboration between authorities or with other public actors.
  • Current experience of qualified analysis, investigation, control, or follow-up work within public operations.
  • Current experience of work against incorrect payments or welfare crimes.
  • Experience of coordinating and implementing working methods and approaches within control operations.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
  • Good knowledge of the Office package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Swedish citizenship.

Merits

  • Experience of project management.
  • Good knowledge and experience within migration issues as well as the Swedish Migration Agency's assignments, operations, and processes.

Security clearance with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will precede the decision on employment, hence the requirement for Swedish citizenship for this position.

Employment type: Permanent with a 6-month probationary period

Working hours: Office hours

Location: Stockholm

Start date: As soon as possible according to agreement
