We are now looking for a Research Engineer to work within neuropsychology.
Job Responsibilities
The LEaP Lab (Learning and Plasticity Lab) focuses its research on the use of ultra-high field MRI to investigate rapid structural brain plasticity during learning. The position of Research Engineer involves the development and optimization of analysis pipelines for structural and functional MRI data from ultra-high field scanners.
Main responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of preprocessing and analysis pipelines for MRI (structural, functional, and diffusion MRI)
- Adaptation and validation of methods for ultra-high field MRI (> 7 T)
- Implementation of automated workflows using Python and relevant neuroimaging tools (e.g., FSL, SPM, Nilearn, SUITPy, Nighres)
- Contribute to the interpretation and quality control of neuroimaging data within the framework of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology
- Collaborate with researchers and contribute to scientific publications and grant reporting
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a university degree, at least at the master's level, in a relevant field such as medical physics, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or equivalent. Documented experience with MRI data acquisition and/or analysis, as well as good programming skills in Python, are required. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral, are necessary as we work in an international environment.

Employment
The employment is a fixed-term special fixed-term appointment on a full-time basis for 12 months at the Department of Psychology. Start date: August 17 or by agreement.
