About the Workplace

In Vänersborg, we conduct teaching and study guidance in 30 different languages. As a mother tongue teacher at the central Mother Tongue Unit in Vänersborg, you will carry out your assignments at various schools. We operate from a shared workplace where we meet at least once a week for joint meetings and have the opportunity for collegial collaboration. Our premises are located in central Vänersborg.

Job Responsibilities

You will maintain and develop the multilingualism of children and young people, and contribute to increased goal achievement for students entitled to mother tongue instruction in Dutch.

You are responsible for teaching and assessing student results based on the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr 22), adapted to the student's conditions and needs. You have high expectations of students and their ability to develop, while capturing and stimulating their curiosity, interest, and learning.

You take responsibility for relevant competence development to grow professionally and contribute to good collaboration with your colleagues.

The work consists of mother tongue teaching and study guidance in Dutch for students in Vänersborg schools. The teaching is for grades 1–9 in primary school.

You collaborate with colleagues and have teaching assignments and cooperation with subject teachers at several schools. You write comments and grades for students and collaborate with guardians regarding the students' education.

Qualifications

All education with a pedagogical focus is meritorious, as is experience as a mother tongue teacher and study guide in the current teaching language within primary school.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills.

Experience in mother tongue teaching and study guidance is meritorious.
