About the Job

As Head of Technical Administration, you are responsible for leading and developing Täby Municipality's property technical function. You will have strategic responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and investment in the municipality's property portfolio and have personnel responsibility for a team consisting of technical administrators, operations controllers, and safety coordinators. The unit was newly established at the turn of the year, giving you a great opportunity to help shape the role, working methods, routines, and processes.

The role includes, among other things:

• ensuring quality, functionality, and energy efficiency in the municipality's properties,
• driving long-term strategic planning for maintenance and reinvestments in close collaboration with the Head of Property Administration,
• leading and developing work processes, methods, and technical standards,
• acting as a client towards the municipality's outsourced operation provider and other contractors/suppliers,
• being a key party in projects regarding new construction and renovation,
• representing the property administration in dialogue with contractors, suppliers, and internal operations,
• environmental analysis and ensuring that the municipality meets operational and regulatory requirements.

As the head of the technical administration unit, your task is to lead and support your staff so that the unit delivers in accordance with established goals. The position is located on the property department, and you report to and work closely with the Property Manager on overarching and strategic issues. You have personnel and budget responsibility, are part of the property department's management group, and have close collaboration with other unit heads within the department and at the Social Development Office otherwise. The position is based at the town hall in Täby.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have:

• a relevant academic degree, for example in property technology, energy, HVAC, construction, or similar,
• at least 3 years of previous experience as a manager and leader,
• documented experience in technical administration, preferably in a larger organization, and are confident in leading teams and driving development,
• experience with qualified economic tasks with a focus on property economics,
• good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have:

• knowledge of rental law and procurement according to LOU (Public Procurement Act),
• experience with procurements and negotiations,
• experience with construction projects regarding properties,
• experience working within a municipality or politically governed operations and understanding of how a political organization works.

As a person, you are analytical, communicative, and structured, and have an easy time seeing the big picture in complex processes. You thrive on combining strategy and operational responsibility and have a solution-oriented approach. Experience from the public sector is meritorious.

You are confident in social situations and build strong relationships and collaborations, both internally and externally.
