We are convinced that HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology, solutions for energy transfer using direct current at high voltages, is a long-term sustainable solution. The technology is used for energy transmission over long distances and to connect electricity networks with minimal losses. In addition to energy transfer, HVDC technology also alleviates power quality issues and can contribute to the stabilization of connected power grids. For offshore wind power or long-distance underwater transmissions, direct current is the only realistic alternative for energy transmission.

In this role as an Auxiliary Systems 3D Modeler at Hitachi Energy, you will be part of a department that designs the plant's auxiliary systems, including climate systems, HVAC, fire detection and protection systems, and more. In this position, we offer hybrid work solutions, where you can work from Ludvika or Västerås, or from home, considering specified required travels to the local office.

This position is located in Ludvika or Västerås, Sweden.

How you’ll make an impact

• Review the inputs provided by the Engineer and translate them into the required models.
• Model coordination with the Electrical and Mechanical departments.
• Model coordination between Civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing).
• Coordination with the Project/Tender Team regarding timelines, budget, risks, and opportunities pertaining to BIM aspects.
• Analyze customer specifications to ensure the Hitachi Power Grids solution meets the requirements.
• Perform pressure drop calculations based on finalized 3D models.

• A sense of responsibility, the capability to plan and organize your daily work, and being a problem solver who takes initiative to solve challenges.

Your background

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within the relevant technical area.
• You have a strong interest or skills within HVAC systems.
• Analytical and communication skills are required when interacting with other stakeholders.
• As you will be part of a global business, fluency in English is required, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Swedish or other Scandinavian languages is meritorious.
• Knowledge of any other 3D modeling software, including MagiCAD, would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge and working experience related to Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM360 are meritorious.
